Dr. Marc Fetscherin is a devoted father to his daughters, Margaux and Mirielle, and an accomplished author with several books to his name. Drawing from his professional writing expertise, he ventured into children's literature, blending creativity with heartfelt storytelling. His personal experience with divorce inspired his first children's book, We Are Family but Not Married, which helps parents navigate and explain evolving family dynamics to their children with empathy and care. Inspired by his daughters’ love for Halloween and their enthusiasm for family traditions, Marc’s latest book, Bones is Back: A Family Tradition for Halloween, grew from a cherished activity they shared each October.

This is a dad-daughter creation. The idea came from a fun tradition Marc started with his daughters, Margaux and Mireille. Every October, they loved decorating and playing with a little skeleton. One year, after a fun night of Halloween prep, his daughters asked why their skeleton didn’t do anything magical at night like the Elf. That simple question sparked something—Marc began moving the skeleton after bedtime, creating surprises for the girls to find each morning. It quickly became a beloved family ritual. As Marc shared this experience with friends, he realized that many families were looking for an tradition they could enjoy during Halloween—one that encouraged imagination, daily joy, and hands-on fun. Inspired by those moments Marc created Bones—a skeleton kids can touch, play with, and laugh with, without rules or pressure. The book and toy helps also families to focus away from costumes and candy to connections, moments, and memories.
